Adult classes
The Adult classes at Savona Boulevard are living proof that “Sunday School” is not just for kids.
Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night adults ranging from their twenties to nineties gather in the auditorium for 45 minutes of practical and focused study of the Bible.
Whether on a specific book of the Bible or a chosen topic, these classes are designed to equip every student with a little more of the “know-how” we all need to live each day by God’s plan.
Our Adult classes also prove that learning is a two way street. Classes provide time to speak up and share insights to encourage fellow students. Our guests, however, can rest assured that they won’t be put on the spot to answer a question or speak out.
In fact, by visiting us during our classes many visitors find a class where they can quickly begin to connect with our members and feel at home.
We hope that you will feel welcome and invited to come and worship with us at during Bible class on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM or Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. We know it is a time or great growth for us, and we trust we can provide the same for you. If you have any questions please contact us by email or call us at 772-334-3981.
Ladies classes
Ladies are invited to a special Bible class on the 2nd Friday of every month at 7 pm at the church building for about an hour.
Topics vary greatly, but the theme is always the same: helping women grow in Christ. The Ladies Bible class is a great time for sharing thoughts on the scriptures, praying for the sick and down-hearted, and getting Godly advice from dedicated Christian women. Contact us to find out more regarding current class arrangements and topics of study. You will feel welcome and wanted.
Children’s classes
During our 11:00 AM worship service, children are a welcome addition to the worship service. This gives each of us an opportunity to be a good example and helps the children develop good behavior and the ability to pay attention.
However, during our 10:00 am Bible Class times the children are divided by age into classrooms that are specifically geared to their unique learning styles. For our smallest students, a combination of crayons, crafts, and caring teachers make the children feel right at home while helping them learn the wonderful stories of the Bible.
As students get older, they begin a survey of the entire Bible learning names, dates, places, and most importantly the essential concepts of God’s love, faithfulness, and justice.
These classes are designed to complement and supplement the Bible instruction which students receive at home so that each child is given a solid foundation upon which to continue to learn as they enter the Junior High, High School, and Adult classes.
We have a very comprehensive Bible class Curriculum in place, Our Spiritual Heritage, that will truly educate your children in the whole Bible, and impart its invaluable life lessons. Our teachers work very hard to motivate and inspire the children. You will truly be amazed at how much of the Bible they will learn.
Junior High classes
Students in the seventh and eighth grade cover both topical and textual lessons to help them win the daily battles young Christians must face. In our Junior High classes there is a definite transition from “thinking with their hands” to “thinking with their heads.” Classes for younger children often involve hands on teaching activities to reinforce the lessons covered.
In Junior High we continue our commitment to reaching the heart and mind of each student by utilizing workbooks, word studies, and class discussion. These methods encourage students to carefully think through their faith, and build on the knowledge they have gained in their previous Bible classes. During this very important time in their lives, these students are taught not just that there is value in studying about God, but that it is ultimately the most important thing we can study.
High School classes
Our high school students meet together on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings in classes designed to address the specific spiritual challenges they face while building their Bible knowledge.
Each class is lead by one of the members of the congregation that can serve as both a teacher and an example.
